This is the closest I’ve gotten to a wren yet. It flew into a tree above my head and naturally my camera was already in my hand ready for action.

There were quite a few of these hanging around and scavenging for food at the sanctuary. Can you see the drops of water falling from the beak in the first photo?
Barn Owl and mate

I know we’ve had an owl here at our home at night, we’ve heard its call but haven’t seen it yet. This is the closest I’ve seen an owl but my husband says he’s had one flying alongside him as he rides to work in the early hours of the morning. Don’t know what type of owl though.
